Memorial Day Service 2016

On Sunday, May 29, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Forest Lawn Cemetery, there will be a Memorial Day service sponsored by American Legion Auxiliary Unit 53. This service honors those local members of the military, active and retired, who died this past year. The service usually lasts no more than 45 minutes. GOS members are invited to come sing, as a group, familiar patriotic songs such as “America the Beautiful” and “God Bless America.” Music will be provided when you arrive. As this event is scheduled on a holiday weekend, I am aware that some of you will be traveling. We will need enough volunteers to cover all of the voice parts. If you are in town and willing, please be at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3901 Forest Lawn Drive, by 1:40 pm. If you can, please wear red, white, and blue. Here is a link with information about Forest Lawn Cemetery: http://www.greensboro-nc.gov/index.aspx?page=1113
Thanks in advance to everyone who comes to sing!
